Independent Investment Solutions (Pty) Limited (I²) is an independent multi-asset investment solutions provider to Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) as well as certain Tied Financial Advisory firms.

I² provides a range of independently compiled wrap fund investment solutions that are made available to any appropriately licenced Category 1 and Category 2 advisors, by providing access to the solutions via a wide range of the largest and most highly recognised Linked Investment Service Provider platforms in South Africa.

The I² range of independently compiled wrap fund investment solutions are tailor-made to address a diverse range of investment needs. The i² range of solutions is constructed by a professional independent investment committee who is tasked with the selection and ongoing review of the specific underlying funds, thus continually ensuring that the correct blend of unit trust funds is combined to achieve the desired risk adjusted returns.

Meet Our Investment Committee

Steph Le Roux

CFA

Steph is a Portfolio Manager and Director at SA Asset Management. He holds a B.Sc. in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics and went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in financial planning. He is a Certified Financial Planner and a proud Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). With over eight years of experience in the financial sector, Steph brings a strong blend of analytical expertise and practical investment insight. He joined the SA Asset Management team in 2019 and is based in the Pretoria office, where he contributes to portfolio construction, strategy development, and client advisory.

Brendan Vadas

CFA

Brendan began his investment career at ValuGro Capital, where he earned his CFA designation. Following the acquisition of ValuGro by Efficient Group Limited, he held several leadership positions, ultimately becoming Chief Investment Officer of the combined entity. During his tenure, he led the transformation of Efficient Select into a full-service asset manager and guided the team to win two Raging Bull awards for top long-term performance. In 2017, Brendan founded Sanford Bluedebosch Investments, focusing on long-term capital growth. He also serves as a director and strategic advisor to several companies and is a passionate Trustee of two NPOs dedicated to childhood education.

Dr Azar Jammine

M.Sc in Economics, PdD

Dr Azar Jammine is the Director and Chief Economist at Econometrix, a position he has held since 1985. He is widely recognized as a leading economic analyst and commentator in South Africa, having delivered over 4,000 presentations to corporations, institutions, and conferences both locally and internationally. Dr Jammine serves on the National Advisory Council on Innovation, appointed by the Department of Science and Technology. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Statistics and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Wits University, an MSc in Economics from the LSE, and a PhD from the London Business School.
